NAR’s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that clients and customers are served by establishing, maintaining, and enforcing industry standard ethical behavior for its 1.6 million REALTOR® members. Dr. Charles Porter was Chair of the Grievance Committee at ABOR and has participated in many professional standards hearings including serving as chair of several ethics tribunal appeal hearings for ABOR.
