The objective of this course is to increase understanding of the history and purpose of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and its effect on professional conduct in the real estate market. The license holder will learn to apply the Articles of the Code of Ethics to current business practices. The expectations and appropriate conduct when working with clients and other agents, transactional fiduciary responsibilities, proper marketing of properties, and understanding their representation obligations based on executed agreements
Common Title Issues and How to Cure Them
The realtor who attends this course will learn what to do when unusual requirements appear on the title commitment. They will learn why the requirement appears, what must be done to clear it, and how to lead their clients when working on complex issues. Realtors will learn how to deal with a deceased owner in title, divorced or divorcing sellers, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, foreign sellers, lawsuits and mechanic’s liens.
1-4 Residential Contract
Strong emphasis on new TREC contract changes
The purpose of this course is to familiarize the real estate licensee with the paragraphs within the One to Four Residential Contract. This discussion takes a closer look into common errors, the meaning and use of each paragraph, and how to properly fill out the contract. After this course, participants will leave with a better understanding of the One to Four Residential Contract, commonly used addenda with the One to Four Residential Contract and the impact of the various provisions. The panelists of the Contract course do not provide legal advice only best practices for the purpose of this course.
Completing the TREC Farm & Ranch Contract
This 2-hour course will focus on the completion of the TREC Farm and Ranch Contract by discussing the nature of the farm and ranch properties, survey issues, easements and access issues, taxes, minerals, title insurance coverages and so much more!
